Here’s how we can pray for our church’s missionaries to Turkey, taken from their most recent update.

  1. Praise the Lord for the work of God in sister “S’” life in bringing out healing from her past and reconciliation with her family. Please pray that “S” would continue to be healed through remaining in near to God in devotions, prayer, and a life of obedience. Please also pray that this would be an encouragement to the rest of their church community, to see God as Jehovah Rafa, the One who brings true healing, joy, and peace.
  2. Also praise Lord for brother “A,” a new Pakastani believer who has been studying the Bible with Mr. L for 3 ½ years. Recently he has submitted to the Spirit of Christ and the call of God in his heart and has turned his heart and allegiance to Jesus! He has already experienced many signs of new life, such as quitting smoking! Please pray for brother “A” that he will continue to “taste and see” the goodness and grace of God through Jesus Christ. Pray that he would stand firm against any future persecution from his family and that his faith would be a blessing to both his family and our church community in Turkey.
  3. Please pray that the brothers and sisters would be sensitive to the cultural and linguistic diversity present in their church – there are people from Turkey, South Korea, Iran, Pakistan, Iraq, Kyrgyzstan, and USA in their congregation. Even more though, pray that their community would even celebrate the gifts each unique culture brings to the Body of Christ – the thoughts, ideas, and even hurts from these various cultures.
  4. Lastly, please pray for the Mr. and Mrs. L and their children during this COVID-19 pandemic. They are even more busy trying to encourage and build up their community through Zoom meetings and other online forms of communication. Pray for protection for their health, for physical and spiritual rest in this busy time, and for protection for their church community as everyone is in isolation at this time in Turkey.
