In light of Pastor Min’s message on The Sovereign God Who Calls Us last Sunday, here’s some prayer points for us as a church:

1. Let’s pray that we will respond to God in faith and obedience as Abraham did, even if obeying God means leaving what is familiar and comfortable to do what is unknown, foreign, and challenging – all for the glory of God!

2. Let’s pray that we will respond to God in faith and obedience as Moses did, even though we feel unqualified and without the needed gifts and abilities. Let us remember Moses, who also felt very unqualified, but whom God blessed and used greatly to achieve His purposes. May we always bring our weaknesses and fears to our Heavenly Father, but never respond in stubborn disobedience.

3. Let’s pray that we have the heart of Isaiah the prophet, who said, “here am I LORD, send me.” To be eager to stand in the gap, to love and to serve in whatever way God calls us to.

4. Last, let’s pray that God would bless us to be faithful in the little things, that we may be entrusted with more. May God give us strength and grace to obey God in the day to day things, His general calling, so that we may be ready to respond to His specific calling toward service to greater things!
